Walk in Enterprise

While we were in WV we took a walk down the MC Trail along the old railbed in the Worthington/Enterprise area.  The girls got a chance to stretch their legs and prance around a little bit...

Sandstone Falls

While in West Virginia, I managed to convince my parents to do a tour of the local waterfalls.  Our day of adventure began at Sandstone Falls.  These are falls I have been to many times before and they never disappoint.  This year was different however, and I took off in search of some photo ops. One hour later with some cool shots, I was lost on the falls.  I quickly learned there are actually two sets of falls.

SoCo Reunion

Awesome concert.  Scott and I headed down to DC after I got off work and after some misunderstandings regarding time we ended up with lots of time on our hands and a two story Target.  Things really didn't end up too bad.  Scott was fascinated with the escalator for shopping carts in the middle of the one for people.  Tons of people at the concert, lots and lots of songs. So good.  Favorite line of the night by Andrew McMahon (lead singer) "We've been gone a long time, so can we play you lots of music?"

Sea Bags

On our return trip home from Maine, my wonderful father once again agreed to take the scenic route.  We came home the long way by way of Portland and had the chance to visit the little shop/workshop of Sea Bags.  While there mom and I bought a little change purse that was really cool and made from recycled sails.  The cooler part was speaking with the owner, Beth.  While talking to her she offered to make me a bag for free if in turn I would promote their product among my sailing friends.  Taking her up on it, they made me a custom bag and a few weeks later, the Ultimate Watersports staff pitched in and bought a similar bag for Hal to say thanks and celebrate 25 successful years.  Here are some shots of the 2 sweet bags!

Lobstah Dinnah!

While we missed out on the family lobster dinner Thursday night, we were not disappointed with round 2 on Friday. Reagan quite enjoyed fresh MD corn on the cob and getting acquainted with the lobster before it became a quite yummy dinner.
Yum!
Give it a kiss!!

Lobster. 'Nuff said.

Naples

Our first real day in Maine begged the question, what to do? What to see? So we headed off to one of the nearby towns (nearby meaning like an hour plus away).  Regardless, we set off for a nice little lake side town called Naples.
They had a seaplane on the lake to rent!

Flowers for mom

I decided to chase some ducks : )

Kennebunkport

Sorry for the delay! Work has been crazy. Anyways, stop number 2 of our venture to Maine found us at Kennebunkport for a quick stop.  The entire coast was so foreign and cool to me with the different morphology of the coast in contrast to the sandy, flat beaches of Delmarva. We also stopped across the water from the Bush vacation house and got to see the spiffy Secret Service boat go zooming away, pretty cool.  Check em out!

Didn't even get the camera wet.

A Maine Breakdown

My dad so very graciously agreed to appease both my mom and I in such a fantastic way.  As we began our travels to Center Lovell, Maine he took probably the longest way possible there and to boot allowed us to yell constantly to stop and take pictures.  The highlights for our Northbound trip included Perkins Cove and Kennebunkport both in Maine. While in Lovell we had the chance to spend some great time with family and make some other trips to take some pictures as well.  Other picture sites include Kezar Lake (where we stayed), Naples, Lake Sabago Park, a local market, and my aunt's house.  On the return trip, my dad was amazing once again and full of wonderful suprises for me! We returned home by way of Portland, ME and Mystic Seaport, CT.  To post photos I think I will do a breakdown per the location and/or subject over the next few days! Stay tuned!!

4th of July Adventure

This years venture to Ocean City for the 4th of July was a very relaxed one. Our trip consisted of a lot of time in the campground and some trips to the boardwalk and the beach. Overall, my free time with camera was either with the dogs or for the sunset in OC.
